Tang Juxing, male, Han nationality, born in September 1964, member of the Communist Party of China, researcher at the Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, chief scientist of the key laboratory, chief scientist of strategic mineral surveys at the China Geological Survey, and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

With a heart for the "great matters of the nation," he is unwaveringly dedicated to serving the geological exploration industry. For 28 years, he has been practicing the original mission of "serving the country through geology" with practical actions, taking it upon himself to find more and better geological mineral treasures for the country, steadfastly working in the high-altitude areas of Tibet above 5,000 meters. As the chief scientist and head of exploration demonstration projects for companies such as China Gold, China Aluminum, and Zijin Mining, he has led or mainly participated in the exploration and evaluation of 10 large and super-large mineral deposits, submitting a metal resource amount of 38.75 million tons of copper, which is nearly four times the previously confirmed copper resource amount of the largest copper mine in China, the Dexing Copper Mine. Additionally, there are 671 tons of gold, 1.67 million tons of molybdenum, 3.61 million tons of lead, zinc, and antimony, and 30,667 tons of silver. He contributed over 75% of the newly added copper mineral resources during the mineral exploration breakthrough action from 2011 to 2020, with a potential economic value exceeding 3 trillion yuan.

With a focus on the needs of the people, he passionately promotes the prosperity and development of Tibet. He firmly implements the party's ethnic policies, respects ethnic customs, and cares for the suffering of ethnic minority compatriots, adhering to the principle of "meeting the needs of the people and reaching where they are." Utilizing the Jiamar Scientific Research Base in Tibet, he has trained over 300 high-level geological talents for the Tibet geological survey units and Tibet University organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, solving employment issues for hundreds of local Tibetan compatriots. The series of important mineral exploration achievements he has made has significantly contributed to the economic take-off and leapfrog development of the Tibetan region, as well as the long-term stability of the area. He has led and mainly participated in the exploration and evaluation of 3 copper mines with more than 6.5 million tons (6 nationwide), 2 copper mineralization belts with more than 20 million tons (2 nationwide), and 3 national guarantee areas for copper mines with more than 10 million tons (6 nationwide), prompting the copper resource amount in two important new mineralization belts in Tibet to surge from several hundred thousand tons at the end of the last century to over 20 million tons, making Tibet's copper resources rank first in the country. His exploration results have supported the development and construction of copper resource bases such as Jiamar and Julong in Tibet, with Jiamar alone contributing a total tax revenue of 3.07 billion since it started production in 2010, and profits of 3.52 billion in the past two years.

With a deep commitment to the geological career, he wholeheartedly cultivates reserve talents. Tang Juxing upholds the unique spirit of geologists characterized by the "three honors" and "four specialities." Whether teaching at Chengdu University of Technology or working at the Institute of Mineral Resources, he has consistently adhered to the principle of "teaching by example" and has nurtured a large number of outstanding young geological talents. He is well-known for being strict with students, asking good questions, and showing great concern. He often advises young people that geological work requires rigor and practicality, the ability to endure hardship, and the willingness to climb mountains, saying, "Carry equipment up the mountain and carry stones down the mountain" to master first-hand data. Under his exemplary leadership, most young members of his team have spent years working in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. He has trained over 170 master's and doctoral students, some of whom have taken root in grassroots geological teams, some teach at geological colleges, and many have gone abroad to top universities and research institutions for exchange and study. He has firmly instilled the mission of serving the country through mineral exploration in the hearts of young people.

He has been awarded titles such as "National Excellent Communist Party Member," "National Model Worker and Advanced Individual," and "National Model for Ethnic Unity and Progress," and has received the National Science and Technology Progress Award Special Prize.1First Prize in Provincial and Ministerial Level Science and Technology.7Items.
