On August 12, Chifeng Gold held a seminar on "Domestic Mining Resource Potential and Deep Development Planning" to initiate the company's deep exploration and resource reserve increase strategy for domestic gold mines.

At the meeting, several geological exploration experts who have conducted long-term research on the genesis of Liaodong gold mines from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Geology and Geophysics, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Liaoning Provincial Geological and Mineral Group (Liaoning Nonferrous Geological Bureau), and the 106th Team of Liaoning Nonferrous Geological presented special reports, and provided detailed arguments on the regional metallogenic geological background, geological conditions, ore distribution patterns, ore body occurrence patterns, and mineralization characteristics of the four gold mining areas: Wulong, Zhuanshanzi, Honghuagou, and Tianbaoshan. They believe that there is great potential for deep exploration and proposed specific exploration target areas.

Chifeng Gold has developed rapidly since its listing. In 2020, Chifeng Gold established a development strategy focused on gold, firmly implementing a "dual core business" development model, steadily growing existing businesses while focusing on expanding new businesses. According to the three-year development strategic plan formulated by Chifeng Gold, the gold production from 2020 to 2022 is expected to be no less than 4.5, 10, and 16 tons respectively. As of the end of 2019, Chifeng Gold's domestic mining gold resource reserves were approximately 53 tons. Currently, a series of projects represented by Wulong Mining have been launched in the country, aiming for domestic mines to achieve a comprehensive gold mining and selection capacity of 4,000 tons/day and a comprehensive capacity for zinc, lead, copper, and molybdenum mining and selection of 5,000 tons/day in the next three years.

A relevant person in charge of Chifeng Gold stated that there is still a gap between the resource reserves of Chifeng Gold and the production planning goals, and that exploration and resource reserve increase need to be carried out creatively. Through scientific and effective methods, they strive to achieve new and greater breakthroughs. The holding of this seminar lays the groundwork for Chifeng Gold to build a pattern of coordinated development mainly led by Wulong Mining, along with Jilong, Huatai, and Hanfeng, and provides theoretical and directional guidance for future exploration and resource development of various domestic mining enterprises. From a more macro and long-term perspective, Chifeng Gold will adopt a more open and inclusive posture, actively attempt to establish new cooperative relationships with more academic circles, research institutions, and advanced enterprises in the industry, while attracting more cutting-edge technology to participate in exploration.
