The 2020 coal industry integration promotion site meeting was held in Yulin on October 22. The meeting summarized the achievements and experiences of the coal industry's integration during the "13th Five-Year Plan" and provided new ideas and new momentum for the high-quality development of the coal industry during the "14th Five-Year Plan". The meeting also held a commendation conference for advanced units and individuals in the integration of the coal industry in 2020.

The "13th Five-Year Plan" was the fastest and most effective five years for the integration of the coal industry. Over the past five years, the proportion of coal enterprises establishing integration (informationization) leadership organizations reached 85.5%, and the proportion of deputy positions and above responsible for informationization reached 94.3%. The popularization rate of information operation and maintenance management, project management, safety management, and project planning approval systems exceeded 85%; large coal mines gradually popularized gigabit and ten-gigabit industrial ring networks, 4G wireless private networks were promoted, and the application of 5G in the coal industry was rapidly advanced, achieving successful networking underground; the application of cloud technology in coal enterprises exceeded 80%, and artificial intelligence image recognition technology was applied in intelligent coal selection, belt monitoring, and hazardous area inspections; blockchain technology began to be tried in the coal supply chain and production service platform fields; 19 types of coal mine robots were applied to varying degrees on coal mine sites...

At the meeting, Wang Hongqiao, vice president of the China Coal Industry Association and president of the Informationization Branch, stated that during the "13th Five-Year Plan", the coal industry's integration achieved a series of achievements and breakthroughs, with many projects selected as national pilots or recognized. However, the industry also faces fundamental and deep-seated contradictions and problems, and there is still considerable room for development in the integration of the industry. He analyzed the key tasks for promoting the high-quality development of the coal industry during the "14th Five-Year Plan". He stated that during the "14th Five-Year Plan", the integration of the coal industry should aim to promote the construction of smart coal enterprises, focus on advancing the intelligent development of coal mines, and promote the transformation of coal production methods, while nurturing and expanding the coal information technology industry as a means to accelerate the deep integration of new generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, industrial internet, big data, and blockchain with the coal industry. The integration should be regarded as an important support for promoting the structural reform of the coal supply side and high-quality development, and the following eight tasks should be prioritized:

First, focus on the intelligent construction of coal mines to promote the transformation of coal production methods. Second, accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises and promote the development of smart coal enterprises. Third, accelerate the development of new infrastructure such as 5G and artificial intelligence to enhance the capacity of information infrastructure support. Fourth, build multi-level industrial internet platforms to cultivate new service formats for the entire industry chain. Fifth, based on the construction of intelligent factories and digital workshops, promote the simultaneous upgrading of multiple coal-related industries. Sixth, nurture and expand the coal information technology industry to promote the development of the coal digital economy. Seventh, accelerate basic research in key areas to break through key technology bottlenecks unique to the industry. Eighth, promote the pilot transformation of new technology applications in the industry and accelerate the construction of demonstration projects.

During the meeting, Wu Qunying, chairman of Shaanxi Coal and Shaanbei Mining Company, Zhang Jianan, chairman of Shaanbei Mining Zhangjiamao Mining Company, Ren Huaiwei, deputy director of the Innovation Center of China Coal Science and Technology Group Mining Research Institute, and Song Lianchang, chief expert of Huawei's digital transformation consulting, respectively delivered keynote reports.

This meeting was hosted by the Informationization Branch of the China Coal Industry Association, the Shaanxi Provincial Coal Industry Association, and Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Group Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Yulin Energy Bureau, Shaanxi Coal Industry Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Coal Group Shaanbei Mining Company, and Shaanbei Mining Zhangjiamao Company, conducted in a synchronous online and offline manner.□
