The application of domestic tunneling vehicles in overseas Chinese-funded mines
Zhangjiakou Xuanhua Huatai Mining Machinery Co., Ltd. is located in the Xuanhua Economic Development Zone of Hebei Province. Established in 2000, it is a professional company engaged in the research and mass production of geotechnical drilling machinery. The company currently has more than 350 employees. It has six major product series, including vertical shaft drilling rigs, fully hydraulic tunneling drilling vehicles, fully hydraulic mining vehicles, electric excavators and loaders, anchoring drilling rigs, and prying vehicles.

Jiangxi Xintong Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was founded in 1992 and is located in the High-tech Industrial Park of Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. It currently has 550 employees and offers equipment such as wet spraying manipulators, fully hydraulic drilling vehicles, excavating loaders, medium and deep hole mining vehicles, shoveling machines, mining trucks, underground mining auxiliary equipment, and underground transportation equipment.

This article uses engineering practice as an example to analyze and demonstrate the necessity of selecting vehicles, while also summarizing the successful application of domestic drilling vehicles in overseas Chinese-funded mines and the experiences gained, pointing out the shortcomings of domestic drilling vehicles and suggestions for improvement.
1 Introduction
As domestic resources gradually deplete, Chinese mining companies are expanding overseas. For example, under the guidance of the Belt and Road development strategy, Shanghai Haicheng Group is developing lead-zinc mines and constructing supporting industrial parks in Central Asia, such as Tajikistan. As one of the developing countries, China has certain advantages in mining development, production processes, technical equipment, and funding in other developing countries in Central Asia, South Asia, and Africa.

2 Overview of the Mine and Technical Equipment
The Alden-Topkan lead-zinc mining area is located northeast of Khujand City in Tajikistan, 110 km away. The mine began construction in 1950 and was completed and put into production in 1954, with a planned production capacity of 2.15 million tons per year in 2016. The three-level ore quantity is severely unbalanced, and the development tasks are very heavy, with the main cross-sections of the development tunnels being 4.2m×4.0m, 3.8m×3.6m, and 3.3m×3.0m. The rock hardness coefficients are: ore: f=8-12; sandstone, siliceous rock: f=10-12; limestone: f=6-10; granite: f=12-14.

The mining drilling equipment mainly uses vehicles for tunneling, while hand-held drills are primarily used for mining. The company has successively configured two batches of vehicles. The first batch included 4 Jiangxi Xintong DT1-14D vehicles in 2013, and the second batch included 4 Hebei Zhangjiakou Huatai HT81 vehicles in 2015.
For detailed technical parameters of the vehicles, see Table 1.
