The "Li Siguang Geological Popular Science Forum (Session 20)" recently opened with the theme of "The Geological Secrets and Governance Achievements of Soil and Water Loss," attracting over 400 viewers from Beijing, Nanjing, Jiangxi, and other places to watch online.

This event was hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the China Geological Survey, and co-organized by the Geological Literature Center of the China Geological Survey and the Nanjing Geological Survey Center. The expert instructors conveyed the importance of maintaining the boundaries of natural ecological safety, building a solid ecological safety barrier, and enhancing the quality and stability of ecosystems through real and vivid cases, advocating for contributions to the construction of a modern society where humans and nature coexist harmoniously.

The event also invited students from the poverty alleviation co-built primary school in Wuyun Town, Ganzhou, Jiangxi, to watch and participate in interactions.Photo by Li Qidong
