Classification of Rock Drilling Tools

 Author: Hu Ming, Dong Xinye

With the rapid development of economic construction in our country, the demand for rock drilling tools in fields such as mining, energy construction, infrastructure engineering, and transportation is on the rise. At the same time, there are higher requirements for the quality, variety, and performance of tool products. Therefore, it is necessary for us to understand the types of tool products, their usage scenarios, and market development trends, in order to produce more and better tool products to meet market demand and improve the overall level of rock drilling tool products in our country.

According to the types of rock drilling machinery used in geotechnical drilling projects, the associated rock drilling (drilling) tool products can be roughly divided into six types: top hammer impact tools, down-the-hole impact drilling tools, mining roller bit tools, reverse circulation drilling tools, mechanical cutting drilling tools, and geological exploration drilling tools.
