Lightweight rock drilling machinery refers to manually operated rock drilling machines, which have a self-weight of less than 35 kg. They use manual handheld or air leg support as a working platform, with relatively low impact power and thrust. Commonly used drill tools include H 19mm, H22mm, and H25mm hexagonal integral drill rods, conical connection drill rods, as well as 38-42mm flat chisel drill bits, cross drill bits, and four-tooth, five-tooth ball tooth drill bits, etc. Lightweight rock drilling machine drill tools are currently one of the most widely used rock drilling tool products in the country.

In the domestic rock drilling engineering market, the most widely used lightweight rock drilling machine drill tools are H22mm conical connection drill rods and flat chisel drill bits. Domestic drill tool manufacturing companies can produce nearly 100,000 tons of H22mm conical connection drill rods annually (equivalent to over 16 million pieces), and 33 to 35 million flat chisel drill bits of φ38 to φ42mm. The φ38 to φ43mm four-tooth and five-tooth conical connection drill bits have developed in recent years as a lightweight rock drilling machine drill tool product compatible with H22mm conical drill rods. Due to their stable service life and fast drilling speed in hard and brittle rocks, they have received unanimous praise from construction units, and production volume has been increasing year by year.
