The trenching machine is a large construction machinery used for quickly excavating trenches for pipeline installation in soft soil and loose strata. In recent years, imported trenching machines have been commonly used in pipeline construction for oil and gas in Xinjiang and the northwest region of China, as well as in large hydropower engineering foundation excavation projects.

Tunnel boring machine tools. The tunnel boring machine has gradually become popular in recent years in domestic subway construction projects, cross-river tunnels, railways, tunnels, and large hydropower projects as a fully mechanized rock and soil excavation equipment.

With the rapid development of highway construction in our country, cold milling machines have become a commonly used equipment for the maintenance of highway pavements and urban roads. For pavement excavation and renovation, cold milling machines have a high work efficiency and are a construction machinery with great market development prospects (see Figure 1, Figure 2).

China's coal reserves and annual production volume rank among the top in the world. Since 2005, with the adjustment of coal market prices, the economic situation of coal production enterprises has improved, and major domestic coal companies have continuously imported various models of comprehensive coal mining machines and semi-coal rock tunneling machines from countries such as Japan, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Austria, and Australia.

Non-excavation construction technology is a new process in underground engineering, which has been applied in construction in our country for less than 10 years. This technology allows for drilling operations to be carried out without excavating the surface, thus not affecting traffic, not damaging the environment, and having a short construction period.

The construction of underground metal mines in the country mainly relies on the drilling and blasting method. In recent years, with the advancement and development of non-destructive mechanized tunneling technology and equipment, reverse shaft drilling machines have begun to be applied in some large underground metal mines. The use of shaft drilling machines in the excavation of vertical shafts in underground metal mines has a series of advantages, including fast excavation speed, low labor intensity, preservation of the original integrity and stability of the rock in the shaft, well-rounded shaft walls, good shaft quality, and favorable conditions for ground pressure control. It is an advanced construction method for the excavation of vertical shafts in underground mines.

The roller bit drilling tools for mining are mainly used in large open-pit mines, earth and rock excavation, water wells, and geothermal wells for vertical drilling operations. During the drilling process, the roller drill rig drives the roller bit to rotate through the drill rod while applying downward thrust to penetrate the drilling hole. Under the action of rotational force, the roller bit drives three rollers, each equipped with hard alloy teeth or arranged steel teeth, to rotate around their respective tooth claw axes. At the same time, under the axial thrust, the alloy teeth or steel teeth embed into the rock surface, utilizing a combination of compressive and shear forces to break the rock, thus achieving the purpose of drilling.

Unlike top hammer impact drilling tools, down-the-hole (DTH) impact drilling tools are a type of drilling machinery that uses compressed air as a power source, with the power unit entering the rock hole to perform drilling. This method is widely used in drilling and blasting construction for medium to large diameter holes in both domestic and international drilling projects.
