On December 31, the entire line of the Chengdu to Yibin Expressway, constructed by China Metallurgical Group, was successfully opened to traffic. Attendees at the opening ceremony included Sichuan Province Vice Governor Yang Hongbo, Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary Dong Li, Director of the Provincial Department of Transportation Luo Jiaming, Yibin City Party Secretary Liu Zhongbo, Chengdu Vice Mayor Wang Pingjiang, Chairman of Sichuan Iron Investment Group Guo Yong, and representatives from various participating units.
The ZCB2-1 section of the Chengdu to Yibin Expressway is 15.6 kilometers long, connecting to the Chengdu Economic Zone Ring Expressway Qingfeng Hub and the Leyi Expressway Zhongfengsi Hub. The main construction content includes earthworks, bridges, culverts, and interchange projects. In 2019, this project was included in Sichuan Province's "Transportation Power" pilot project. The project started in May 2018 and was completed in November 2020. Under the careful planning and meticulous deployment of the project team, all members worked closely together to overcome numerous difficulties such as high fill, rainy seasons, and COVID-19, successfully completing the construction tasks and delivering on time. The construction unit and all sectors of society highly praised the company's strength and the practical spirit demonstrated in the project.
